“Judge Dredd” Goofs List

• Continuity: The microphone on the back of the neck of the man who runs Geiger’s Bazaar disappears and reappears.
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Judge Dredd is undercover as a judge, a young judge runs up and pulls off Dredd’s helmet and says, “Dredd! I knew it was you,” but his lips are not moving.
• Continuity: Mean Machine’s dial returns to its original position after Pa Angel turns it.
• Continuity: When Judge Griffin gets his arms ripped off by the robot, they cut to a leg shot, yet the position of his legs to do not change even though he now has no arms for the robot to hold onto.
• Continuity: In the desert, when Dredd and Ferguson are on a hill looking at the garbage tunnel, Dredd walks away. In the next shot they are standing next to each other, as if Dredd never moved.
• Miscellaneous: When Judge Dredd First arrives at the scene, he tells the other judges he’s safe because he’s the lethal range of the fired round, yet before his arrival, we see at least one man being killed on the street.
• Continuity: All the Supreme Council Judges wear shoulder rank devices. Chief Justice Griffin’s (‘Jurgen Prochnow’) are on backwards most of the time. A notable scene is in which the Janus files are unlocked; his shoulder devices flip flop depending on the angle.
• Revealing mistakes: Before the enter the exhaust hole, the fire is being blown outwards.. When Dredd and Ferguson run in the exhaust pipe, the flame is chasing them rather than moving towards them.
• Continuity: When Dredd and Fergie are escaping from security after Rico and Griffin murder the high council, Dredd is wearing full Judge uniform. When he enters the room with the hoverbike, he is wearing the shirt. When he sits on the bike, he has lost the shirt and is wearing only a t-shirt. This happens in timespan of him sitting on the bike, he did not have time to remove it.
• Plot holes: Upon stepping down, Chief Justice Fargo asks that they be lenient with Dredd in lieu of his years of service, but Justice Griffin proceeds to give Dredd life imprisonment in Aspen; later when, now Chief, Justice Griffin is talking to Rico he explains that he could have used Dredd when it would appear that it was he who banished Dredd to life imprisonment.
