• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Mary (‘Drew Barrymore’) is looking at the website of her latest boyfriend, the rocker, he says that his favorite quote, “All I need is this guitar, three chords and the truth,” is from Bon Jovi. That quote actually comes from U2’s cover of Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower”, not Bon Jovi.
• Continuity: During the scene where Conor takes Anna to the house to ask her if she will move in with him, Anna’s headband goes from a skinny black plastic headband to a cloth tan one.
• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): In the yoga class, Scarlett Johansen’s character tells the class to go into “upward facing dog”. They are going into Cobrapose.
• Continuity: In the scene where Anna meets Ben at his office, the scene starts with daylight coming in through the office windows. At the end of the conversation, only darkness can be scene through the windows.
• Revealing mistakes: In the scene where Janine gets home, she’s looking around the place now that’s it’s all done, then she sits, pulls her cell phone out and calls Ben. He’s shown sitting on the steps of the Yoga center, listening to his cell phone ring. He looks at it and sees that it says, “JANINE HOME” – but she called from her cell phone and not a home land line.
• Continuity: When Ginnifer Goodwin and Justin Long are standing in Ginni’s doorway, Justin Long is standing in the hall as they speak. One shot she is standing in the doorway, the next shot she is out in the hall as well, next shot she is in the doorway again and so on until the scene is over.
• Revealing mistakes: When Conor Barry comes home from his date with GiGi and Alex is watching hockey at his house, the announcer says “the Terps are crossing midice”. When they cut to the TV the 2 teams listed with the score are UND (University of North Dakota) and NIA (Niagara) neither of whom would be the Maryland Terrapins who would be the team in the movie since it was to take place in Baltimore, Maryland.
• Continuity: After Janine Gunders fines Bens cigarettes in his pocket, she begins to flip-out. When she grabs the mirror off the wall the glass obviously facing her, but when the camera angle changes and she throws the mirror down, the glass is facing away from her yet there was no time for her to flip the mirror around.
