“Duplex” Goofs List
- Continuity: After the shooting in the hospital Nancy’s hand is on Alex shoulder and moves about between shots.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: When the woman at the housewarming party says “I got an award for this one” she clearly doesn’t say “one”.
- Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): The old lady’s accent changes from Irish to Scottish through out the movie
- Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): SPOILER: After Alex is injured by a gunshot, the doctor examining Alex does not wear gloves.
- Continuity: When Mrs. Connelly feeds Alex a Bugle (snack chip) she dips it in onion dip, but in the shot of her hand putting it into his mouth (and in the close-up shots of Alex) it is no longer covered in dip.
- Revealing mistakes: The parrot Dick is able to fly around the Duplex, but in close-up shots it is apparent that the bird’s wings are clipped.
- Continuity: After Alex fires Mrs. Connely’s harpoon the rope is stretched out. In the next shot the rope is wrapped up on the harpoon.
