• Continuity: SPOILER: Before Jennifer is stabbed, the right strap of Needy’s dress is off her shoulder and damaged while the left is intact and in place. When we see Needy’s reaction, the straps are off both her shoulders. When Jennifer has removed the pole and walks past Needy, the strap is back in place.

• Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: Agent Cheung dies in the cavern. When the team tries to find a way out of the tunnels, Agent Cheung raises her head just as Agent Barr walks past her.
• Continuity: SPOILER: When Burke runs to set off the bomb, exterior shots of the sole remaining soldier show darkness. When Carnby and Cedrac blast through the storm door outside the orphanage, it’s daylight.
• Continuity: SPOILER: When Ron is killed, he falls face down. When Edward Carnby and Aline Cedrac find him, he is on his back.
• Anachronisms: The police cars that arrive at the orphanage “20 years ago” have three brake lights, a much more recent feature.
• Crew or equipment visible: At the beginning, a camera is reflected in the door of Carnby’s taxi.
• Continuity: During the taxi chase at the beginning, the cab chasing Edward Carnby has no rear license plate in one shot, but gains one in the next shot.

• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): One of the soldiers checks the pulse of a person lying on the ground, to see if the man is dead, with gloves on.
• Revealing mistakes: When Pinkerton slams Carnby’s head against the ground during their battle in Chinatown, several inches are visible between the actor’s head and the floor at the moment of impact.
• Continuity: A taxi rams Carnby’s taxi, denting the hood and bumper. Seconds later, when they turn a corner, the taxi is undamaged.
• Errors in geography: Set in California, but a Bank of Montreal building and a Canada Post box appear repeatedly. A Scotia Bank is visible in the last scene.
• Crew or equipment visible: When the camera pans the dead soldiers in the darkness, a camera man, trying to be as still as he can, is standing in the darkness behind the light on the stand.
• Boom mic visible: When Reid inspects the contents of a box in her apartment, the shadow of a microphone can be seen on a pillar.
• Continuity: The bandage on Cedrac’s arm, and the wound it covers, disappears, then reappears in her apartment.
• Plot holes: In the last scene, the Xenos attack in broad daylight. Light is supposed to be lethal to them.
• Continuity: After the explosion at the end, Carnby and Cedrac exit the wooden structure near the orphanage. Earlier, when Carnby visited the orphanage to ask for the children’s files, the structure wasn’t there.
• Continuity: After Slater’s cab is slammed into the wall and the villain backs up to ram the cab again, the camera shot shows the villain “throwing” the car into reverse. The car should already be in reverse, and should be shifted into drive to ram the other taxi.
• Continuity: When Carnby yells to Burke and then fires a shot to shoot a “zombie” coming behind Burke, all bullets are made visible with light. You clearly see the shot firing off way past Burke’s head at high on the wall behind him, even leaving a puff of smoke.

• Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: When Gus is shot through the eye, the bullet goes through his left eye and has a pattern of blood running down his face, yet later on throughout the movie, when Xavier sees the number on the back of Gus’s neck, we see Gus’s eye is perfectly normal with no blood marks, or bullet wounds.
• Continuity: When they discover Obi’s envelope, the knife’s position on the envelope shifts between shots.
• Continuity: The wounds on Amanda that were inflicted by needles in the pit that she was thrown into by Xavier disappear and reappear throughout the rest of the film.
• Continuity: When Detective Eric Mathews meets John his badge is normal. A few moments into the scene it becomes twisted and when it cuts to John then back to Eric after a second the badge is normal.
• Factual errors: A swat member uses a battering ram to open the outside door of the facility, but it is a door that opens outwards.
• Continuity: The pool of blood from Gus’s gunshot wound changes when Daniel goes to put the coat over his head.
• Continuity: When the Tech Team arrives you can see the clock as the detective is destroying Jigsaws work saying 8:00. It had been seen earlier in the movie saying it was almost 8:30.
• Continuity: When the SWAT team have their guns aimed at Jigsaw’s heart (just after Matthews says “Hey – is this close enough?”, we can see three laser guides on his chest. Then one of the SWAT team members points his gun down, but there are still three laser guides on Jigsaw’s heart. Seconds later there are two lasers, then three again.
• Continuity: When Xavier opens the door to the Syringe Pit, it shows a very short clip showing the timer on the door for the antidote. If you slow the clip down, you will see that the timer shows ‘4:00′, in the next scene it shows ‘2:58′.
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: In the needle room, when Addison screams and says “Stop this shit!”, her lips are saying “Fuck this shit!”
• Revealing mistakes: Det. Mathews throws Jigsaw on the floor and you can tell it’s a dummy by his stick-thin right leg.
• Continuity: The first time we see the number 9 on Addison’s neck, it has a curvy line, looking like an upside down 6. Later, when there are flashes of the previous numbers, the 9 shows up with a straight line.
• Continuity: Gus’ tie changes from being sloppily pulled to the right in select shots as they wake up and then being straight in other shots.
• Continuity: When Matthews’ friend, Michael, is watching the puppet explain his situation on TV at the beginning of the movie, the channel indicator on the television keeps changing from displaying channel 3 in one shot to being covered up with duct tape in the next.
• Crew or equipment visible: As the police first arrive at the warehouse, several crew-members’ reflections can be seen in the sides of the police vans.
• Continuity: Rigg’s earpiece disappears between shots.

• Continuity: SPOILER: In the “Choose Their Fate” alternate version of the tanning-salon scene, Ashlyn reaches out with her left hand to pull Ashley out of the tanning-bed, just before they’re both electrocuted. In the close-up shot of Ashlyn’s body hitting the floor, her left hand is on the floor and empty, but in the overhead shot immediately afterwards, her left hand is still clutching Ashley’s.
• Continuity: SPOILER: In the “Choose Their Fate” alternate version of the tanning bed scene when the girl standing grabs the others hand and is electrocuted her face and body are burnt but when it shows her drop to the floor dead, her skin is perfectly clear.
• Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: When Kevin’s car is pushed into Frankie’s car by the runaway truck, you can see two shots of the engine flying out: an overtop and a sideview. In the overtop shot Frankie’s car is empty, in the sideview one, he can be clearly seen. Assuming they are the same shots, this shouldn’t happen. Also, assuming he is covered by the sunblocks, one can easily notice they are semi-transparent, so at least his hat should be visible, if not his head.
• Continuity: SPOILER: When Kevin’s truck rear-ends Frankie’s car, the overhead shot shows the engine departing the truck and flying forward over the back half of Frankie’s car. In the next shot, this time from the right hand side, you see the engine once again shoot out of the truck, and fly forward over Frankie’s car.
• Continuity: SPOILER: When the engine cuts Frankie’s head, it can be seen that his eyes end up closed, however when Kevin and Wendy check who is in the car, Frankie’s eyes are open.
• Continuity: The position of Ashley’s earphones changes as she panics when they are trapped in the tanning bed.
• Continuity: During the final scene when Kevin is thrown against the window of the subway, the direction of his head changes between shots.
• Revealing mistakes: At the very end right before the camera shows the main character you see a dead body in the lower right portion of the screen and right before the camera cuts away you can clearly see them blink.
• Continuity: In the scene in the tanning beds. When it cuts to Wendy and Julie. Right before Wendy says “Julie, I need a minute… in private.” it shows a back shot of her. She’s holding the crumpled paper that has Ashley’s cell phone number on it. After Julie leaves, Wendy looks to her left and the paper is out of her hands, on the desk next to her.
• Continuity: When Wendy first looks at the photo of the passengers on the roller-coaster, there is no evidence of the person in front being Julie, only her hat is visible. However, when Wendy looks again at the photo later on, Julie’s hand is on her head and the good luck bracelet is visible.
• Continuity: In the tanning bed scene just before the girls catch on fire, Ashlyn pushes her chest up and gives one big scream. However, in the reflection of the facial lamps Ashlyn is doing something completely different – she is shaking her hand frantically right next to her face.
• Incorrectly regarded as goofs: When the rollercoaster is climbing the hill in the premonition people say that Frank disappears from the rollercoaster until you see him filming Ashlyn and Ashley on the lift. But if you watch it properly, Frank is still there but you only see him for a brief moment because there is a very dark shadow is covering him.
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Wendy and Kevin come out of the Police station, after the first angle change, their spoken words do not match their lip movements.
• Continuity: When Ashley and Ashlyn first enter the tanning bed room, a stereo and the control panels for the tanning beds can be seen on the opposite wall. During the over-head shot, (when the beds are on fire) the control panels can be seen, but the stereo is gone.
• Continuity: In the gym, the exercise machine that Lewis dies on has a flat surface when he first sits down in it. Later, in the shot of the weights coming down, the seat is big and bulky.
• Factual errors: The “last photo of Lincoln” is shown as the character points out that the crack in the picture (on Lincoln’s forehead) as “exactly where he was shot”. Booth shot Lincoln from the rear, below the left ear with a small Derringer pistol. There was no exit wound.
• Errors in geography: The film is set in Pennsylvania, however the ‘Build It’ store prominently displays signage for Rona Home & Garden, a Canadian home improvement store.
• Crew or equipment visible: After the Lewis scene in the gym, a camera can be seen reflected when Kevin opens the door after Wendy asks him to drive.
• Continuity: In the tricentennial scene, a black guy in purple can be seen jumping out of the way of the horse. In the next shot, that was just a split second later, he can be seen ordering popcorn.
• Continuity: Wendy’s hair in the cemetery scene changes between shots
• Continuity: The people behind Kevin when Wendy talks to him out in the rain (after getting her diploma) in a shot are clearly Julie and Perry. But in the next shot, there are different people.
• Continuity: On the DVD feature “Choose Their Fate”, whenever you choose for Wendy to take another look at Louis’s picture, in the regular version the swords cut the cable that holds the weights. If you choose she does take another look, the weights just squash his head without the swords cutting the cable to it.
• Factual errors: It is highly unlikely that two tanning beds would be in the same room together. They would be one bed per room because you have to go naked or in a bikini.
• Factual errors: In the tanning bed room, when the temperature controller’s display changes from 77 to 78?F, it can be seen that the fan control switch on the lower left side is set to “On”. This should normally have the fan (the one built into the wall, not in the tanning beds) running all the time. However, it is then shown how it turns on due to increased temperature in the room and makes the coat hanger wobble. The switch should be set to “Auto” if this were to happen.
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: In the Choose Their Fate, on Erin’s alternate death, as the birds fly in her face and she falls back, you can still hear the sawdust bag being popped, even though the spike never hit it.
• Revealing mistakes: When the speeding car rams Kevin’s car into Frankie’s car, due to the laws of physics, Frankie’s car should have gone forward but instead stays in the same position.
• Factual errors: Roller coasters have mechanical fail-safes that keep the restraints down even if hydraulic pressure is lost.
• Revealing mistakes: Once the train has crashed and Wendy is on the tracks you can see her look back to all those who died. In the left middle of the screen near the top of the train piece you can clearly see a man breathing as well as blink and move his lips as if he were talking.
• Revealing mistakes: When Wendy is at her house looking at the pictures on her computer, she sees Jason’s picture

  He’s striking the same pose as the devil and we see the roller coaster going down a hill and it looks as if it was going to hit him in the head. However, when Julie takes the picture at the beginning of the movie, the roller coaster had already passed by the devil and nowhere near Jason.

• Revealing mistakes: At the beginning of the movie at the fair, Wendy is standing next to the roller coaster tracks. As the roller coaster passes her on her right side, a gust of wind supposedly from the coaster blows her hair. The funny thing is though, the wind came from the left side instead of the right where the coaster passed her.
• Factual errors: In the tanning salon sequence the tanning bed is locked down by the rack of CDs above it that fall. Tanning salons are required to put any hanging objects elsewhere. Many salons have warnings in the room not to hang or set anything above the tanning bed…for obvious reasons.
• Factual errors: A cordless nail gun takes about 2 seconds to recharge, and cannot fire consecutive nails nearly as fast as depicted.
• Factual errors: Fireworks mortar tubes must be at least Schedule 40 ABS tube, not the lightweight Schedule 80 PVC tube shown. The lifting charge would immediately explode through such a thin tube. Fireworks are never launched without maintaining a visual reference to the mortar racks (which incidentally are banned by law to be placed on rolling trailers), allowing the pyrotechnician to immediately cease launching if there was any damage or instability to those racks.
• Factual errors: In Lewis’ alternate death, the swords never cut through the wire. You see Lewis doing several reps when they walk in so the wires, at that point, are still in place

• Incorrectly regarded as goofs: In the scene when Katie is saying she doesn’t want to leave the house, it is assumed that Micah has set the camera on the bed, as it stops moving and stays at a constant angle. This explains why the camera stayed while Micah walked away.
• Revealing mistakes: On night #21 the time-stamp changes from 11:59:56PM to 11.59.57AM despite it not having turned midnight yet.
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: In the original Director’s cut of the film, the name of the demonologist recommended by the psychic is Dr. Johan Abrams. In the Theatrical version, every time his name is mentioned it is noticeably re-dubbed as “Dr. Johan Avarese”.
• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): On the first night as Katie climbs into bed, she is wearing pink shorts and a gray shirt which she is still wearing when she wakes up. • Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Blade, Whistler and Scud confront the head Vampire, an earlier shot of Whistler talking, but with the audio removed, is used as a reaction shot, leaving Whistler to appear to foolishly mouth a line he has just said.
• Continuity: Nyssa tells Blade that she is a “pure blood” (born a vampire) but she has a scar above her lip and fillings in her teeth. According to the logic of the movie, a pure blood vampire would never scar and, we might infer, would never need dental treatment.
• Crew or equipment visible: Towards the end of the film, a dead vampire is bleeding blue blood and the tube producing the “blood” is visible.
• Continuity: In a close-up of Whistler after has speaks with Blade, Blade has jumped some distance away, where previously they were standing together (the shot of Blade walking away was cut).
• Continuity: When Blade and the Bloodpack are in the vampire club searching, Verlaine has the UV Filter on her weapon on, but in the next shot it’s off.
• Continuity: The blood stain on the wall following Nomak’s first attack in the blood bank.
• Continuity: After Snowman stabs the mutant vampire in the nightclub, he places his hands on the hilt of his sword twice without taking them off.
• Continuity: When Chupa is firing his machine gun at a fleeing Reaper in the vampire nightclub he accidentally shoots two ordinary vampires, one of whom is wearing a distinctive red outfit. Then in the next shot, the Reaper has moved along the wall a little way and Chupa is still firing at it he accidentally kills the same two ordinary vampires again. The distinctive outfits make it obvious.
• Continuity: After the underground battle, Nyssa lies injured and a golden torc can be seen around her neck as she lies panting. In the next shot, Blade raises her head from the ground, and the torc is gone.
• Continuity: When Whistler throws the sunglasses to Blade towards the end of the film, in the near shot of Blade catching the sunglasses, Whistler can clearly be seen in the background “throwing” the sunglasses again well after they are caught.
• Continuity: After the fight scene between Blade, Asad, and Nyssa; where Blade tells the 2 of them to remove their masks, Nyssa begins to remove her mask with her left hand and then in the next shot we see it has become her right hand.
• Crew or equipment visible: When the group is about to enter the House of Pain, a crew member can bee seen crouching next to the door when the Bloodpack approaches it.
• Continuity: When Blade is put on the machine to drain his blood, the bed of spikes should pierce everything including his clothes, but later on we see that nothing has been pierced.
• Continuity: When Blade first enters the Vampires headquarters, Nyssa pushes several buttons on a keypad that light up in red. When we see the keypad again, a different set of buttons are lit.
• Continuity: When Blade fights Nomak the first time, they pass through enough daylight to cast shadows, but Nomak does not react to the light cast on him.
• Continuity: When Rush is charging at Blade on the motorcycle he dodges Blade’s weapon and Blade is crouching at the end of the alley. In the next shot Blade is standing and spins into a crouching position to catch his weapon.
• Continuity: When Rush throws his motorcycle into a “lowside” skid Blade jumps over the tail of the bike, but the next shot shows him jump over and kick Rush square in the back.
• Continuity: When the autopsy is performed it is one under ultra violet light which is harmful to vampires. This seems to have no effect on any of them.
• Crew or equipment visible: When Damaskinos is running towards a helicopter to escape, a camera shadow is visible across his back.
• Revealing mistakes: When Nyssa is dying in the sewer, Blade cuts his wrist to let her drink. But his sword has no blood on it.
• Revealing mistakes: As Blade is walking across the scaffolding towards the camera, you can see the Nomak stuntman in the lower left of the shot, standing ready to be launched onto the scaffolding.
• Continuity: In the big fight scene where Blade fights all the security guards, right before he kicks a guard into the pool of blood you can see a wire connected to the guard to pull him in the blood
• Revealing mistakes: In the opening scene when Blade is chasing the vampires outside, Blade cuts off Rush’s helmet using the bike tire, but where he is going to cut it there is already a pre-made crease in the helmet which splits perfectly without any effort.
• Revealing mistakes: The gas masks used by the soldiers who electrocute both Blade and Whistler have removed the filters, rendering them completely useless.
• Continuity: In the scene where Blade meets the blood pack for the first time, Nyssa orders them to put down their weapons. After everybody has lowered their weapon, we see how Snowman puts away his katana in the scabbard again.
• Continuity: When Whistler looks through his infrared sniper scope as Blade and the pack walk into the first club only blade shows up with a heat signature, the full vampires show up as blue/green meaning no heat. Later in the sewer, Whistler looks through infrared goggles and now the vampires show off as red meaning they are giving off heat.
• Continuity: When in the house of pain chasing Nomak, Blade tells Nyssa to wait here (in the hallway) since it’s dawn outside as seen through the planks on the windows, yet it shows Scub at the same time in the plot trying to get the God lights to work on the truck since it’s dark as night outside.
• Revealing mistakes: During the final battle where Whistler throws Blade his sunglasses, Whistler’s actions in the background are inconsistent, revealing that it was not a straight throw-and-catch and that some editing trickery was used.
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: In the Vampire HQ when Scud hits Whistler the second time, we hear the sound of the punch first before we see the hit.

• Continuity: When Jonny got out of his car he threw his driving gloves onto the dashboard, but a little later he takes them out of his pocket and puts them on.
• Crew or equipment visible: When Ben is bent over a ghoul he just killed in the woods, you can see a hand waving the character away from the body and out of the scene.
• Continuity: Sheriff McClellan has large shells on his belt, which would not possibly fit in the rifle he is carrying.
• Continuity: The headlights of the truck, smashed in an earlier scene by a zombie, are intact during Ben, Judy, and Tom’s attempted escape.
• Continuity: When the first zombie gets to the house where Barbara is hiding, it’s still daylight. Moments later it appears to be the middle of the night.
• Revealing mistakes: The first time we see the dead body at the top of the stairs, the face has been eaten away. Later when the body is being dragged away, the rug conveniently covers the face but for a split second we are able to see the face and it is clearly normal.
• Continuity: The torch (table leg) jumps from the chair outside to the character’s hand and back again between shots when the chair is put outside.
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: Ben’s hammering is always out of sync.
• Continuity: While Karl and Ben are fighting for the rifle, the door to the main room, near the basement door, opens and shuts between cuts.
• Continuity: In the scenes before Tom tries to convince Judy to leave his left sleeve in cleanly torn, like someone has cut it cleanly away with scissors. In subsequent shots it turns to messily torn and then intact when he leaves for the trek to the gas pump.
• Continuity: As Ben informs Barbara that the house is secure and all windows have been sealed up, a plain, uncovered, unsecured window is visible right behind him.
• Crew or equipment visible: Light stand visible behind Barbara as she helps Ben board up the door soon after he arrives.
• Continuity: When Tom, Judy and Ben are going to the gas pump, there is one shot where it is clearly day (or at least dawn), even though the scene takes place in the middle of the night.
• Revealing mistakes: When Barbra runs the car into the tree, it is already dented before the impact.
• Revealing mistakes: When Barbara is told not to look at the defeated zombie that tried to attack her, his eyes are moving to look at her.
• Revealing mistakes: When Ben is nailing wooden boards to the door, small numbers can be seen on them. These were written on the backs of the boards so they could be removed and replaced in between shots, preserving continuity. Some numbers are visible because some of the boards were nailed on backwards.
• Continuity: Ben finds a pair of shoes and puts them on Barbara’s feet, but in the very next shot where she’s sitting on the couch, she is not wearing shoes nor are they any in the shot with her.
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Ben kills the first two zombies by the truck, there is an audio mismatch between his blows and the impact sounds.
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Ben is tell Barbara the story of about the zombies chasing the gas truck, his mouth does not match most of the words he is saying.
• Crew or equipment visible: When Ben is about to strike the first zombie you can plainly see someones hand takes the tire iron out of his hand.
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: In the end of the movie, when the ‘patrol’ shoots one of the zombies, you hear gunshots and you don’t see them shoot until after the sound.
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Harry and Tom first enter from the cellar, Tom yells “Don’t shoot! We’re from town!” We hear him say “We’re from town” but his lips never move.
• Crew or equipment visible: When Barbara rounds the corner of the farmhouse while searching for an entrance, someone is visible side-stepping away from the alley and crouching behind some bushes and posts of a shed.
• Crew or equipment visible: As soon Barbara walks into the farmhouse, there is a crew’s hand in the shot before the stuffed animals if you pause the right moment.
• Revealing mistakes: When Ben tackles the second zombie by the truck, he pins it to the ground right underneath him and starts beating it with a tire iron. You can see that to avoid actor injury, Ben is hammering the zombie at least 5 inches away from the zombie’s head.
• Crew or equipment visible: After Ben has struck one of the zombies outside the house to the ground, a cube of material, probably wood, is thrown next to the zombie’s head, which Ben hits with the tire iron.
• Continuity: When he first appears, the cemetery zombie’s coat is open and unbuttoned. During the fight with Johnny and in subsequent scenes, two of the buttons are fastened. Would a zombie button up his coat?
• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Ben contradicts himself all through the story he tells Barbara about the gasoline truck. First he says he had just gotten into a truck he found to listen to the radio when this happened. But then he says that when the gas truck came by it was all he could do to miss it – inferring he was driving. He also says that it was “screaming by” and that zombies were chasing it on foot and keeping up – but all the zombies we’ve seen can be out run by even Barbara. He also says that the truck was on fire during this chase and there were zombies hanging onto the truck yet we’ve seen that the only thing that scares zombies is fire.
• Errors in geography: In the opening scene, Johnny tells Barbra that they have a “three-hour drive” ahead of them to return home to Pittsburgh. However, later in the film when the TV broadcast is listing local rescue stations, all of the town names given are located in the greater Pittsburgh area.
• Continuity: The live television remotes all seem to be taking place in daylight, although it’s supposed to be the middle of the night when they’re being aired.
• Crew or equipment visible: At the beginning when Barbara and Ben are approaching the correct grave site a figure in black jumps behind a large headstone behind them.
• Factual errors: Tom tells Ben that he and Judy were on their way to the lake to go swimming. The events are taking place in late April. It would be far too cold for swimming in Pennsylvania at that time of year.

• Revealing mistakes: During the scene in which Tokyo appears, there are several Japanese signs that just have random Japanese ideograms completely irrelevant to what should be there.
• Revealing mistakes: In the scene where they first show the corpses of clones from Project Alice you can clearly tell that a few of them are in actual fact mannequin dolls. Some of the corpses don’t have any facial similarities as the real Alice and one of them doesn’t even have any hair.
• Crew or equipment visible: When Alice walks through the dunes, just before the crow’s attack, the cameraman filming her is visible in her glasses.
• Continuity: SPOILER: When the first Alice clone awakens and attempts to leave the underground compound, flashbacks guide her in avoiding fatal danger. During the hospital hallway scene where she pushes a bed with wheels, a guillotine comes down the walls and slices the bed in half. The walls clearly show the gap where the guillotine comes out from but on the next frontal scene, the walls are bare.
• Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: In the scene where Carlos is in the big rig lighting up his joint, the camera pulls back and you can clearly see that one of the zombies reaching in for him only has makeup just past his wrist where you can then see normal human skin between that and the sleeve of his clothing.
• Continuity: SPOILER: In the scene where Dr. Isaacs as the tyrant has Alice in a choke hold, she clearly cuts off the ends of his fingers. Yet moments later, we see a shot of her and the floor, but his large fingers are not visible on the ground where they should be.
• Continuity: SPOILER: When the bus gets attacked by the crows Ashanti’s character Nurse Betty has blood and dirt on her face. But after she locks the back door and she shoots the crows she is clean and there is no blood or dirt on her, then in the next shot when she dies she is bloody again.
• Continuity: The opening scene in which Alice is naked in the shower shows her with no makeup. Yet, upon wearing the red dress she is wearing red lipstick. Then, in subsequent shots she is wearing no lipstick again.
• Errors in geography: After the characters arrive in Las Vegas, they park right next to the Paris Casino’s Eiffel Tower and the Venetian Casino. In reality, The Venetian is one mile up Las Vegas Blvd (The Strip).
• Revealing mistakes: In the scene where Alice reads Stevie’s name tag, with the help of a magnifying scope, a duplex reticle can be seen. However, right before she shoots him with the crossbow, it can clearly be seen that her crossbow is equipped with an open design type of red dot sights. These devices do not magnify at all and they have a red/amber luminous dot (hence the name) instead of the previously seen duplex reticle.
• Revealing mistakes: In the scenes where Alice and Carlos are standing around the trucks just before Carlos’ suicide run on the Umbrella installation, cars on a highway can be seen in the background. At least three or four going in opposite directions. Maybe another Caravan coming FROM Alaska!
• Continuity: While Carlos is crawling under the truck his pistol’s slide is forward, however when he tries to fire and we hear clicking, the slide is locked back indicating it is empty.
• Continuity: When the convoy is introduced the lead vehicle is a Hummer. Later a shot is shown of the tanker bursting through a sand dune, which could only happen if it was the lead. Another shot is shown immediately after with the Hummer as the lead again.
• Revealing mistakes: When Claire takes off in the helicopter she uses the cyclic stick and not the collective. Only the collective can be used to take off vertically.
• Continuity: When Alice is first seen with Carlos and K-Mart looking down at the Umbrella HQ’s aboveground “camp,” we’re looking alongside Carlos’s shoulder, and he’s immediately behind Alice and slightly to her right. Alice looks through the binoculars and speaks to K-Mart, when Carlos is suddenly sitting 20-30 feet away to the right, and a bit further front than the ladies.
• Revealing mistakes: In the scenes in the pit with Alice and the zombie dogs, there are numerous shots where the dogs can be seen to still have furry, non-zombified tails.
• Factual errors: Despite having driven through the sandy desert for many miles, Alice’s motorbike is repeatedly shown to be very clean and dust-free.
• Continuity: The zombies in the series have previously been shown to have considerably greater strength than a normal person yet the hundreds surrounding the Umbrella Corporation’s desert outpost are very effectively halted by a ten foot high chain-link fence.
• Factual errors: Despite the depth of LJ’s chest wound after his encounter with the zombies at the motel, he appears to be in no discomfort, nor is there anywhere near sufficient blood on his chest and t-shirt for that kind of wound.
• Factual errors: None of the Alices in the ditch show any signs of decomposition and all look to be very recently killed – their skin isn’t even paled from blood pooling in the lower tissues, something that occurs within hours of death.
• Revealing mistakes: When Oded Fehr’s character is saying goodbye to everyone at the end and Ali Larter’s character is looking at him, you can clearly see traffic moving on the road in the background.
• Incorrectly regarded as goofs: After Alice uses her powers to kill the crows, Dr. Isaacs uses 3 satellites to locate her – as evidenced by the display on his computer monitor. Three smaller circles, presumably satellites, centered around a larger circle, presumably the radius of her psionic ability – even though we only see one satellite in orbit. Even if the satellites are not sensitive to psionic bursts (though they should be, since the AI in the Umbrella facility claims to have detected them), Project Alice has several implants which allow Umbrella to track and control her.
• Incorrectly regarded as goofs: In the council chambers, Wesker’s glasses reflect the room around him. This isn’t a mistake – all council chambers are identical, and Wesker’s holographic cameras would pick up the reflection of his table – as well as the reflections of the other holograms in the room during a meeting.
• Continuity: During the Vegas scene, the laptop in the Umbrella tent is locked on to Alice, yet there’s a display box containing Africa in the lower left corner. There would be no logical reason for the Umbrella operatives to keep a look out on Africa when they’re busy with Nevada.
• Revealing mistakes: At the start of the final scene in Tokyo, there are rats in the street. As the camera descends through the street, one of the rats actually goes in front of the ground revealing that the street is actually a cut-away set.
• Revealing mistakes: When Dr. Isaacs is held in a “secure room” the keypad used to release the door is quite clearly that of a cheap digital safe (the sort one would buy for keeping a few household valuables) and no attempt has been made to conceal the circular handle of the safe, the rest of which has been built into the wall.
• Revealing mistakes: When the zombies are coming out of the large container, there are tons of them coming out of it but there’s no way they could have all fit into the container in the first place.
• Plot holes: Alice notes that instead of driving to Alaska, they will fly there. So when they breach the gates of the Umbrella compound, they all load up into the helicopter and take off. Claire is the pilot, however, it is never mentioned in the movie that she, nor anyone else, has experience flying. Flying a helicopter is not the same as driving a Hummer.
• Continuity: During the crow scene when the flamethrower is about to incinerate Carlos, the woman he is holding has her hand on his shoulder. When we cut to Alice in the next shot we can see the woman’s hand slide down off of Carlos’ shoulder and then reappear there in the next shot.
• Continuity: Towards the end when Alice enters the Umbrella HQ and releases a clone of herself from the water/orb, the clone then dies. She is shown laying on the ground with her left hand covering only her left breast, with her elbow resting on the floor. In the next shot, from above, her arm is covering both and her elbow is no longer resting on the ground.
• Continuity: In the beginning of the movie, the first Alice clone is in a laser chamber where the pattern of the lasers that charge after her are diamond, but then a shot later when she climbs through an air duct, the laser pattern is just a straight line.
• Continuity: The first Alice clone pushes a gurney through the hospital hallway where a blade wall slices the gurney in half, then two shots later, the blade trap is completely gone.

• Continuity: When Jillian goes to Washington Square Park by subway, it’s clearly night and dark. When she emerges from the subway, it is daylight.
• Factual errors: All NASA shuttle astronauts live and work in the vicinity of the Johnson Space Center in Houston, many of them in Clear Lake, a Houston suburb. Yet in the film, Jillian teaches school in Florida, where she and Armacost clearly live. Astronauts only go to Florida for launches.
• Factual errors: When the pregnant wife is being examined, she is told she is nine weeks pregnant. However, the baby shown on the ultrasound scan screen is clearly much more than nine weeks old. Further more the movements of the ultrasound probe do not correspond to the movements on the screen. And when the doctors says she will make measurements she never does. Instead she just waits a few seconds before announcing the age of the fetus.
• Incorrectly regarded as goofs: SPOILER: At the end of the movie, when Jill is talking to her new husband, he calls her Susan. This is due to the fact that she probably changed her name after Spencer’s death (she also seems to have changed her appearance).
• Crew or equipment visible: When Jillian has just watched the Sherman Reese videotape, and Spencer comes in and scares her, Spencer says they should watch a video and goes to put it in. After all of the fuss with what the tape is, Spencer gets up to sit on the couch and as he does, you can see four shadows on the wooden wall behind him.
• Continuity: When Spencer and Jillian are at the cocktail reception in New York, Jillian is speaking with the rude woman who criticizes her clothes. As they are walking, they walk past a woman with a large pearl necklace who then kisses the gentleman she is with. Moments later, Jillian who then walks past the same woman again.
• Continuity: When Spencer scares Jillian in the bathroom, she drops the abortion pills she was holding and they fall far away from each other. After Spencer slaps her, the pills are closer together.
• Continuity: When Jillian is dancing to the radio, she opens the refrigerator door and we clearly see a can of whipped cream. Jillian then takes a can of whipped cream from the bottom of the refrigerator and puts it in the same spot the other one was in. The first can just disappeared.
• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Spenser Checks Jill’s pulse at the party’ he does it in the wrong place. Pulse is checked below the thumb, while he checks it under Jill’s little finger.
