Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: Agent Cheung dies in the cavern. When the team tries to find a way out of the tunnels, Agent Cheung raises her head just as Agent Barr walks past her.
Continuity: SPOILER: When Burke runs to set off the bomb, exterior shots of the sole remaining soldier show darkness. When Carnby and Cedrac blast through the storm door outside the orphanage, it’s daylight.
Continuity: SPOILER: When Ron is killed, he falls face down. When Edward Carnby and Aline Cedrac find him, he is on his back.
Anachronisms: The police cars that arrive at the orphanage “20 years ago” have three brake lights, a much more recent feature.
Crew or equipment visible: At the beginning, a camera is reflected in the door of Carnby’s taxi.
Continuity: During the taxi chase at the beginning, the cab chasing Edward Carnby has no rear license plate in one shot, but gains one in the next shot.
Miscellaneous: The end credits list a “TTransportation Captain”.
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): One of the soldiers checks the pulse of a person lying on the ground, to see if the man is dead, with gloves on.
Revealing mistakes: When Pinkerton slams Carnby’s head against the ground during their battle in Chinatown, several inches are visible between the actor’s head and the floor at the moment of impact.
Continuity: A taxi rams Carnby’s taxi, denting the hood and bumper. Seconds later, when they turn a corner, the taxi is undamaged.
Errors in geography: Set in California, but a Bank of Montreal building and a Canada Post box appear repeatedly. A Scotia Bank is visible in the last scene.
Crew or equipment visible: When the camera pans the dead soldiers in the darkness, a camera man, trying to be as still as he can, is standing in the darkness behind the light on the stand.
Boom mic visible: When Reid inspects the contents of a box in her apartment, the shadow of a microphone can be seen on a pillar.
Continuity: The bandage on Cedrac’s arm, and the wound it covers, disappears, then reappears in her apartment.
Plot holes: In the last scene, the Xenos attack in broad daylight. Light is supposed to be lethal to them.
Continuity: After the explosion at the end, Carnby and Cedrac exit the wooden structure near the orphanage. Earlier, when Carnby visited the orphanage to ask for the children’s files, the structure wasn’t there.
Continuity: After Slater’s cab is slammed into the wall and the villain backs up to ram the cab again, the camera shot shows the villain “throwing” the car into reverse. The car should already be in reverse, and should be shifted into drive to ram the other taxi.
Continuity: When Carnby yells to Burke and then fires a shot to shoot a “zombie” coming behind Burke, all bullets are made visible with light. You clearly see the shot firing off way past Burke’s head at high on the wall behind him, even leaving a puff of smoke.

“Rocky III” Goofs List

Continuity: During the final bout, immediately before Rocky knocks out Lang, the position of the two fighters alternates from the middle of the ring (in long shots) to up against the ropes (in close-ups) and back again.
Crew or equipment visible: During the final fight scene a handheld movie camera (used for shooting ground-level shots) is visible on the far side of the ring. Full-size cameras are also visible in some shots.
Continuity: In the second fight with Clubber Lang, between the first and second rounds, the shot is flopped – the word “Clubber” is backwards on his shorts and one of his crew’s robes clearly has “World Champion” backwards as well.
Continuity: Before the final fight, the crowd scenes contain the picture boards of Rocky and Apollo in the background, making it obvious that it is the same crowd footage from Rocky II (1979).
Continuity: There are multiple errors with the time-line and chronology of this film and it’s relationship with the previous two movies. Most obviously, Rocky (1976) is set primarily in 1975, with the title fight taking place on January 1, 1976. Rocky II (1979) is also set in 1976, with the title fight taking place on Thanksgiving, November 25. The events in Rocky III are said to take place three years later, placing it in 1979/1980. However, the newspaper advertising the charity match between Rocky and Thunderlips gives a date of 1982. Another major discrepancy is in relation to Micky’s age and date of death. In the first film, Micky says he is 76, placing his birth in either 1899 or 1900. In Rocky III however, his headstone lists his date of birth as 1905, making him 71 in the original film. Furthermore, the headstone lists his date of death as 1981, which implies that he was 76; the same age he was four years previously (in the original film).
Continuity: At the beginning of the final fight between Rocky and Clubber, we see Rocky take his robe off in a close-up shot and he has a towel around his neck. We then see a distant shot and the towel is gone. Then we come to a slightly closer shot and the towel is back again.
Continuity: When Apollo and Duke are reviewing Rocky’s first fight with Clubber and discussing how many rounds Rocky could potentially last, the footage they are watching is in black and white. However, during this scene there is a shot of Apollo looking at the screen, and the lights reflecting off his face show that the footage he is watching is in color.
Boom mic visible: In the beginning of the film, there’s an overhead shot (of Rocky and “Thunderlips” facing one another) where the shadow of the boom mic is visible on the back of Thunderlips’s head.
Factual errors: When Rocky is in training for the re-match with Clubber and is having flashbacks to the first fight, they cut to a scene in black and white where Rocky is taking an uppercut to the body. It is clearly visible that Rocky is wearing the “Stars and Stripes” trunks that Apollo gives to him right before the re-match. Rocky could not have been wearing these trunks because they hadn’t even been given to him yet.
Factual errors: During the first fight with Clubber while Mickey is lying on the table in the locker room, the doctor is overheard to say “his blood pressure is 200 over 50 we’d better start CPR.” In actuality, the heart must be beating for there to be a blood pressure and CPR is only initiated when the heart and or respirations cease.
Factual errors: At Micky’s funeral, there are only 4 people present (Rocky, Adrien, Paulie and Al the Cutman. In order for a Jewish service/prayer to take place, there must be a minimum of 10 men (Minyan). If there is not a Minyan then the prayers have no validity and therefore strangers are often invited to the prayers ensuring there are 10 or more men.
Continuity: When Adrian and Rocky talk on the beach, in the first, zoomed-out shot of them together, there are numerous ships in the water along with some minor debris. In the close-up shots that follow, there are no ships, just the minor debris.
Continuity: When talking to Adrian on the beach, Rocky appears to have not shaved in a few days. About halfway through the scene, he suddenly appears shaved.
Factual errors: The newspaper shown just after the “Rocky vs. Thunderlips” match shows a date of “Wednesday, May 15, 1982″. May 15 fell on a Saturday in 1982.
Continuity: The newspaper shown just after the “Rocky vs. Thunderlips” match shows a date of “Wednesday, May 15, 1982″. When Mickey dies later in the film, his tombstone says he died “August 15, 1981″, which was 9 months earlier.
Continuity: Mickey’s tombstone shows the year he was born as “1905″, which is inconsistent with material from Rocky (1976). The first movie takes place between November 25th 1975 and January 1st 1976. Mickey in the first movie tells Rocky he is 76 years old, which would make the year he was born be either 1899 (if Mickey’s birthday was between January and November) or 1898 (if his birthday was in December).
Crew or equipment visible: After the final fight where Rocky and Apollo are alone in the gym. You can see a crew member walk by in the bottom left corner while Rocky and Apollo both get into the ring.
Revealing mistakes: During the last fight scene, Rocky is punching away at Clubber, and the two seemingly glide across from one end of the ring to the other. If you listen carefully, you can hear the sound of the rolling platform that they are standing on.
Continuity: In Rocky’s first title defense, he begins the fight with golden gloves, but at the end of the fight, his gloves are black.
Miscellaneous: As the scene depicting the dedication of the Rocky statue opens, the camera is focused on the snare drum of one of the high school band members. If one looks closely, it is clear that Mr. T autographed the top of the drum for the band member at some point before filming the scene.
Continuity: When Mickey gets sick and lays down on the table in the locker room, he has his knit cap on as he starts to lay down. The shot switches to a different angle as he continues to lay down, and now his cap is off and laying on the table next to him.

Errors in geography: Lee and Carter arrive at the Yau Ma Tei Police Station while inside the station the signs say Central Police Station – two different areas of Hong Kong.
Continuity: The first two letters on Lee’s license plate are JY, however when he drives Carter to the airport, they read JG.
Boom mic visible: As Lee and Carter sit in the black convertible Corvette, the boom is reflected in the windshield.
Continuity: The truck’s trailer leaves L.A. with polished aluminum wheels. By the time it gets to Las Vegas it has painted wheels.
Continuity: Lee’s hands come apart when he jumps over the table, even though they are supposed to be taped together.
Revealing mistakes: The wall in the massage parlor moves when pushed during the fight.
Revealing mistakes: When Steven Reign removes the printing plates from the safe, you can easily read a “100″ on one of them, but the “100″ (and everything else) should reversed.
Continuity: When Lee is translating for Carter, the microphone is in Lee’s hand one minute, and in Carter’s hand the next.
Continuity: When Lee is sitting in a car, the song “I’ll be missing you” by Puff Daddy, starts to play on the radio. We cut away to the caller, and then back – apparently in “real time” – but now the song on the radio is almost at its end, although only 3 seconds have passed.
Revealing mistakes: When Carter is fighting Hu Li in the casino, Carter grabs the wheel from a roulette table. He grabs a hold of the center shaft which should be metal, but it bends easily to show that it is made of rubber. In the instant before he grabs it, you can also see that it is bent out of shape.
Crew or equipment visible: When Carter and Hu Li are fighting in the Casino right before she is knocked out and is trying to kill Carter with the sword, Crew member is clearly seen in the lower left of the screen holding the statute. Afterwards he is gone.
Continuity: When Hu Li and Carter are fighting in the casino, Hu Li is meant to be wearing high heels but a pair of boots can be clearly seen when she gets up after doing the splits.
Continuity: At the airport at the end of the movie, the arm strap on Lee’s bag goes from twisted to straight several times between shots.
Crew or equipment visible: When Carter, Isabella, and Lee are talking in the motel room, the camera can be seen reflected in the glass on the upper right hand corner of the screen.
Continuity: When the plane takes off from Hong Kong it is a much smaller than the 747 United flight that lands in LA and the underside is not painted blue.
Factual errors: Carter buys into the craps game for $100,000 and two stacks of 20 chips were then slid in front of him. He complains that he was given $500 chips. It would take ten stacks of $500 chips to make $100,000.
Continuity: When Lee and Carter arrive back at Lee’s office, and are putting their clothes back on. Lee puts his tie on backward, in the next shot, it is right.
Continuity: In the hotel room Ricky Tan stabs Steven Reign with a knife around the belt or stomach area. When Reign falls backwards the knife is way up high near his heart.
Continuity: When Carter is in the club singing and invites all the ladies up onto stage with him they are all wearing sequined dresses. When Lee runs out, the women around Carter are wearing beige/tan tops. In the next scene, their dresses revert to the nice dresses again.

Continuity: SPOILER: When the street preacher is “crucifying” Spider in the hospital, he picks up the same knife twice from the equipment table.
Revealing mistakes: Most of the guns are actually paintball guns. Brand names of several paintball makers are clearly visible at several points in the movie and you can often see CO2 blasts when the guns are fired.
Factual errors: The date on the screen in the New Darwin Inn reads “Thursday, 17 January 2021″. January 17, 2021 will be a Sunday.
Plot holes: The subway tunnel seems abandoned: there’s trash lying around the track and nobody else in the station. The tunnel lights and station lights might be lit because the Loteks want to make sure they can escape that way, but why are the signals still working?
Continuity: Johnny throws a gun away after it runs out of ammo. In the next shot, he can be seen still holding the gun.
Continuity: In the final scene, Jane has a stream of blood from different places above her left eye. The trickle also changes length.
Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Spider is explaining to Johnny the cause of NAS.

Continuity: The football players carrying Dan Marino off the commercial shoot swap positions.
Continuity: Einhorn and Ace switch positions near the end of the murder scene.
Continuity: In the end scene at the football match when Melissa and Ace start kissing their backs are to the audience in the football stands and Melissa is on Ace’s right side. In the next shot she is to the left of him and they are now facing the audience in the stands and then in the next shot she is back on the right side. But there was definitely not enough time to change to these positions.
Continuity: When the dog lays down on the picture of Ray Finkel, making it look like Ray had long hair, the “hair” was down past his shoulder. In the close-up, it is by his chin.
Continuity: The condition of the box that Ace rips after he steps on the bubble wrap, and the subsequent position of the bubble wrap.
Continuity: Before Snowflake’s kidnapper puts his (her?) hand in the pool, the 1984 AFC Championship Ring is on the middle finger; afterward it’s on the ring finger.
Continuity: When Mr. Shickadance inspects Ace’s apartment for animals, the doggy door on the fridge is a solid sheet of plastic, but when Ace calls his animals out afterward, the penguins exit through the doggy door which is clearly segmented.
Continuity: The stain on Rodger Podactor’s shirt changes from when he initially meets Ace to when he walks over to the dolphin tank.
Continuity: Ace’s hand gets dirty when he is looking through the tank’s filter and turns spotless when it shows the diamond in his hand.
Continuity: When Ace enters the outside door near the pool at Ronald Camp’s home, a large plant can clearly been seen in the hallway opposite the doorway. When he slams the door, the plant is gone.
Factual errors: When Woodstock says he is sending new coordinates to the Norwegian whaling fleet, the blips on the radar screen move even when the beam is not sweeping over them.
Continuity: After Snowflake is captured, Melissa asks “Why did it have to happen now, two weeks before the Superbowl?” In a following scene with Ace, Melissa tells him that it’s Superbowl week, and the dolphin was stolen “last night”.
Factual errors: The band Cannibal Corpse is falsely credited as “Canibal Corpses” in the end credits.
Errors in geography: In the movie, the Miami City Police officers are wearing Miami-Dade Police Patches. The real-life Miami City Police patches are circular and feature a palm tree in the center.
Factual errors: The film mentions the 1985 Super Bowl as “Super Bowl XVII (17)” It was not. It was Super Bowl XIX (19). Super Bowl 17 was held on 30 January 1983. (This might stem from the fact that the 1969 Super Bowl between the Colts and the Jets was the first to actually be referred to as the “Super Bowl” . The previous two Super Bowls were actually called The AFL-NFL World Championship Game.)
Factual errors: Both Miami Dolphin team pictures that Ace references throughout the movie are said to be from the 1984 season. Both of these team photos were taken at Joe Robbie Stadium…but in reality, Joe Robbie Stadium wasn’t built yet! The Dolphins were still located at The Orange Bowl in 1984.
Continuity: When we first see Finkle’s room, it’s an inside shot and it’s completely dark. But when we see the rest of the room, there is a “shrine” to Marino, with candles already lit.
Continuity: When Ace is fighting with Einhorn/Finkle at the end of the film, she is clearly wearing pantyhose. A short time later, when Ace removes her skirt, she is not wearing pantyhose.
Factual errors: Ray Finkle is said to have played football for Stetson University and graduated in 1980. In fact, Stetson University has not fielded a football team since 1960.
Continuity: While in Melissa’s backyard, Ace at one point spits out a lemon wedge from a glass of iced tea; when he gets up from his chair, the lemon is back on the glass.
Miscellaneous: There are several spelling errors in the newspaper articles Ventura and Melissa view on microfilm, including “origionally”, “Finkle”‘ with an apostrophe instead of a comma, “stiil”, “itys” (its), “disasterous”, and “Champioship”. The articles also use the same filler material (usually when it’s near the edge of the screen): a football-related paragraph once the relevant information is done, and occasionally completely unrelated copy that seems to have come from another article.
Continuity: After Ace rescues the lost Shih Tzu, his car windows are smashed. In the scene after as he takes the dog/cat food to his apartment, the windows are no longer smashed. When he arrives at the Miami Dolphin’s stadium, his windows are messed up again.
Continuity: At the end during the “Super Bowl” once Ace brings Dan to the game. After kissing Melissa, Ace looks over at the water coolers to see the pigeon up for the big reward. In the background of that shot you see a couple ushers including a bearded one. The next shot is back on Ace and Melissa and now the bearded usher is standing behind them.
Continuity: When Ace enters the storage room of the asylum and searches through Ray Finkle’s box of belongings he picks up 2 knitted doilies that say “Die Dan” on them with the diamond shaped one being in his left hand and the octagonal one being in his right. In the very next shot they are reversed
Continuity: When Mr. Shickadance confronts Ace about the rent, Ace hands him a sheet of paper. During the closeup shot of the paper, Ace’s shirt has changed.
Continuity: In the film that runs in Ray’s room showing the missed field goal, the ball sails wide right (looking from behind the goal posts). When the camera cuts to the shot of the referee in the end zone, he gestures with his hands that the ball went wide left.
Continuity: When Ace is about to kick the package down the hall to the man’s doorstep at the beginning of the movie, he throws the package up with his feet and lands flat, but on the scene he kicks it, it’s in a vertical position.
Continuity: When Ace is breaking into the Private Room in the Asylum, he picks the lock with the ‘Private’ door tag. Once he is inside and the cleaner opens the door it appears to be unlocked.
Factual errors: Ace refers to Super XXVII (17) as the game that Finkle blew by Marino having the laces out. The Dolphins did lose Super Bowl 17, but it was one year before Marino’s rookie season in the NFL. Dan Marino only played in Super Bowl 19 with the Dolphins.
Anachronisms: The file photo of Ray Finkle has an NFL patch on the collar. That was added to uniforms many years after 1984 when it was supposed to have been taken.
Continuity: When the penguins come out of the freezer, the clear flap has been cut into strips, but when it is shown again, it is solid.
Factual errors: Ace claims Finkle graduated from Stetson University, holding 2 Division 1 records. Stetson is not a Division 1 football school.
Plot holes: At the end after Ace has ripped off Einhorn’s skirt, Dan Marino is the one who points out what’s obviously in the back of her underwear. However, the numerous police officers who are also directly behind Einhorn act as though they see nothing.
Revealing mistakes: When Ace is in the mental hospital acting as Larry, he suddenly stops to do his half-time dance and then slams his head and face into the bench in the hallway. When he does this, you can see the doctor break character and start laughing.
Revealing mistakes: When Ace breaks into the storage room using the Private sign the type of jamb indicates it is an out-swing door yet the door swings in. You can see the jamb is in the way and the lock cannot be picked in the manner he did that in the shots before and after the close up of him breaking in.
Factual errors: When looking for the fish to feed Snowflake, the thug says “Where’ the hell’s the smelt?” In the next scene where the second thug follows the trail of fish to the now-unconscious first thug, the fish are larger than smelt, most likely tilapias.
Revealing mistakes: As Ace Ventura drives down the freeway to take Dan Marino to the Super Bowl the football stadium is in the background, but there are no cars in the stadium parking lot.
Revealing mistakes: Position of the stuffed dog relative to the door – it is impossible for Ace to have placed the fake dog in the position it is shown due to the direction the door opens in.

Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): SPOILER: When Hub reads General Devereaux his rights he interrupts the correct terms, in the presence of many witnesses, with a diatribe of personal opinion. This is strictly against procedure and is common ground for a claim of improper arrest.
Continuity: During the first chase scene, the FBI car in which Hubbard is riding shows damage to the right front fender before it hits anything. That damage then disappears.
Continuity: Nearly the entire movie is set in the dead of winter (heavy coats, visible breath, etc.) yet the fly-over of the capitol building shows trees in full bloom.
Continuity: When the bus blows up, at one point the blast wave is seen hitting two cars. The blast hits first the car that is further away from the explosion, and the hits the car that is closer to the explosion.
Continuity: The enormous blast when the bus explodes, which produces a massive shock wave, does not affect the helicopters circling above, as is seen with the steady camera footage later on.
Errors in geography: Sheik Ahmed Bin Talal is shown the be abducted in Lebanon, and a desert is shown. Lebanon is the only Arab country without a desert.
Continuity: During the car chase at the beginning of the film, the removable headrest in Hub’s car disappears and reappears between shots.
Continuity: Sharon’s hand on Samir’s chin during first scene in Samir’s apartment.
Continuity: After the bus explosion, the blood on Hub’s face disappears and reappears between shots.
Factual errors: General Devereaux mentions the M16-A1 assault rifle when he should have said the M16-A2
Continuity: The terrorist’s hands are on/off the pizza box depending on the angle.
Revealing mistakes: When Hubbard is thrown off his balance and he falls to the ground, you can see that the pavement bends a little under him – a telltale sign that the pavement is not real.
Continuity: Hub’s drink disappears and reappears several times when he is in the restaurant with Elsie.
Continuity: When the pizza box is delivered to the cell in the apartment, it is clearly sealed, with all three sides tucked in. When the terrorist places the box on the table and carries on a conversation with the other terrorists, the side flaps on the box are clearly untucked as if the box had been opened, but yet the man never opened the box until it exploded.
Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Hub and the other FBI agents raid Tariq’s chop shop in Redhook, a shotgun can be heard being cocked even though the agent holding it is taking his hand off it when the sound is heard.
Continuity: Mark Valley’s character FBI Agent Mike Johanssen appeared in the showdown between Agent Hubbard and General Devereaux (behind General Deveraux). However, Agent Johanssen was killed in an earlier scene at the 1 Federal Plaza bombing.
Continuity: When Hubbard gets a nose bleed while briefing the FBI agents his tie is long and hangs well below his belt. In the next shot it is shorter and shaped differently, and then back to being long in the following shot.
Continuity: When Devereaux speaks on live TV about imposing martial law, he is speaking from New York in broad daylight. Yet, within the same scene, a “live” broadcast of Devereaux’s speech is shown on a giant screen from Times Square, also in New York, and yet it is night there.
Continuity: In one scene before the bus explodes, Hub and Frank are driving in a car and Elise / Sharon is sitting on the rear seat. During the shots in which she is shown, you can clearly see through the rear window that the following cars are changing between shots.
Continuity: The length of the cigarette Hubbard is holding changes while he’s interrogating the suspect about the suitcase of money.
Continuity: During the standoff between Gen. Devereaux and Hub the General initially does not stand down, but calls out “Captain”, which is the signal for the army personnel to raise their weapons. After Hub convinces the General to stand down Devereaux calls out not to the Captain, but to the Sergeant to lower his weapon.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Picard sings “heart” instead of “foot” in the second chorus of “A British Tar”, despite having the lyrics displayed in front of him on his computer. Considering the stress he’s under, he does an excellent job.
Continuity: When Anij slows down time (the water falls very slowly, the bird’s wings flap slowly) she picks a flower and then blows the spores off of it. She’s slowed down time, but when she picks the flower the other flowers next to the one she picks move back and forth at full speed.
Revealing mistakes: In the beginning, when Data is being chased into the village, the stone bridge shakes and flexes like a wooden prop as the children run across it.
Crew or equipment visible: Shadow of equipment visible on the cave wall, just before Picard goes through the hole he has blasted in the wall.
Continuity: When he discovers the holoship hidden in the lake, Data opens a dam and lowers the water level. But when he boards the raft with Picard and Anij, the pier is still at the correct height for the normal water level.
Continuity: When blasting through the cave wall, a tree falls over at the side and Picard and Data both look at it. It is standing up again in the next scene.
Revealing mistakes: Early in the film a woman is knocked backwards, the man standing behind her goes to catch her well before she starts falling.
Revealing mistakes: When Picard shoots the Son’a guard on the holoship, a crash mat can be seen when he falls off the roof.
Continuity: During the phaser fight in the holoship, A Son’a soldier is shot and rolls off the roof of the hut, and when Picard ends the simulation, the soldier is not lying on the floor stunned when we see the full holodeck revealed, unless he was a hologram too.
Incorrectly regarded as goofs: During Data and Picard’s phaser fight inside the holoship, the disruptor shots from the Son’a weapon do not disrupt the holograms as we see the Son’a Commander do later in the movie to reveal that was fooled. In fact, they chip walls and splash water. However, the holoship was designed to be a ‘floating holodeck’ to transport unwilling colonists, so the simulation would likely be programmed to react in a realistic manner to weapons fire so that the deception isn’t accidentally discovered; likewise, the crew of the Enterprise may not have had time to reactivate the ‘reality mode’ when they changed the simulation.
Continuity: When Picard, Data, and Anij are paddling out to the holoship, Data and Picard switch sides on the raft between shots.
Continuity: When Data and Picard beam back up to the Enterprise after jumping into the Ba’ku lake, Data’s uniform is dry while Picard’s is still soaked.
Revealing mistakes: When Picard is first meeting with the Baku, there are children playing a hacky-sack type game in the background. During two short shots, the children can be seen making kicking motions but there are no hacky-sacks to be seen.
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Picard meets the Ba’Ku for the first time, he introduces Counselor Troi as Dr. Crusher and Dr. Crusher as Counselor Troi. Both actresses nod to the wrong names as well.
Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Ru’afo socks Dougherty in the face, he obviously misses, yet we hear a punch effect.
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): While singing “A British Tar”, Data, who supposedly has perfect recall, sings the wrong notes for part of the song.
Continuity: When Picard is beamed on to the collector ship before facing Ru’afo, he is beamed from another Son’a ship, but he materializes with a Federation transporter effect, not a Son’a one.
Crew or equipment visible: After Picard rescues Anij from the water, Data says, “In the event of an emergency, my body can be used as a flotation device.” Data then “rises” above the water as if he is inflating. The platform that raises Brent Spiner higher in the water is visible through the water underneath him.
Crew or equipment visible: In the beginning of the movie, after Picard, Riker, Troi, and Crusher enter the turbolift, the turbolift doors close and the reflection of the camera can be seen in the shiny turbolift door label.
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Troi comments that she had never kissed Riker with a beard before. In actuality, Troi kissed bearded Riker in the episode “Star Trek: The Next Generation: Menage a Troi (#3.24)” (1990), as well as in several other episodes.
Miscellaneous: In the scene where the crew meets Picard in the Captain’s Yacht, the captain tells Geordi and Riker to take the ship and transmit a message to the Federation. If you look at Geordi’s collar you see a gold and two black pips (rank insignia). He should have two gold and one black pip for his rank of Lt. Commander (one gold and two black pips does not belong to any rank in Star Trek).
Continuity: After Picard and Data dive off the Holoship to rescue a drowning Anij, Data informs them that “in the event of a water landing, I have been designed to serve as a flotation device”. Although this is obviously a joke comparing Data to an airline seat, it is inconsistent with information originally provided in “Star Trek: The Next Generation: Descent: Part 2 (#7.1)” (1993). In that episode, Geordi tells Data about a time where they went sailing, and Data decided to go for a swim and ended up sinking to the ocean floor due to lack of buoyancy, and having to walk over a kilometer back to the shore.
Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Data used a contraction in the scene where the cave collapses, saying “it’s safer over there.” Although the series established that Data can not use contractions, he had the emotion chip installed into his positronic net in Star Trek: Generations (1994) which would likely allow him to not only experience emotions, but to use contractions as well. Also worth mentioning that although Geordi tells Capt. Picard that he didn’t take his emotion chip with him, it is possible he reinstalled it during the course of the movie.

Crew or equipment visible: In some scenes involving horses, modern orange cones can be seen on the ground directing the riders on the path past the camera to follow. This has been corrected for the Director’s Cut DVD.
Factual errors: When the Muslims are praying near Jerusalem they are praying towards the setting sun, west, not towards Mecca which is to the south south east.
Continuity: During the battle for Jerusalem, the crescent moon and the star nearby, change positions during a short period of time. First, the crescent is horizontal, with the star a short distance above it. In the next scene, the crescent is on an angle, and the star is where the unlit part of the moon would obscure it.
Factual errors: A few times during the movie, the Muslims are shown praying while the prayer call is being delivered. The prayer call precedes the prayer.
Anachronisms: During the movie, flags from Castilla y Leon kingdom are shown several times. At that time Castilla and Leon were separate kingdoms. They became one in 1230.
Continuity: The size of the hole made by the sword in the sand when Imad falls after the fight for the horse changes; from large and uneven to even
Revealing mistakes: When the messenger of Saladin is stabbed in throat by Guy de Lusignan. The blood that is squirted outward sprays from the left side of the neck where he was not stabbed.
Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Guy stabs Saladin’s messenger in the throat with a small dagger. When the messenger falls, Guy is holding a bloody sword, rather than his dagger. This is corrected in the Director’s cut, where Guy proceeds to behead the messenger with his sword.
Continuity: At 2:08:09 surrender of Jerusalem, the scar to left and below Bloom’s eye disappears.
Anachronisms: In the Director’s Cut, Sibylla tells her son, soon to be Baldwin V, in his geography lesson, that the King of England is Richard, the son of King Henry. Richard I did not succeed his father until 1189, three years after the death of Baldwin V.
Factual errors: Sibylla claims that she was married to Guy de Lusignan when she was 15 years old. In fact, she was 20 or 21 when she married him in 1180. She had been about 17 when she married her first husband, William of Montferrat, in 1176.
Anachronisms: The so-called ‘Templar’ who attacks Balian before the battle of Hattin (in 1187) wears a white surcoat bearing a black cross: the arms of the Order of St Mary of the Germans (aka the Teutonic Knights). This order was not founded until 1190 at the very earliest.
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Balian is building the timber water channel he places the lower level duct on top of the higher one. This should be the opposite way round as in its current state any water running down would run under the lower duct and consequently be lost.
Continuity: During the second day of the siege, Balian watches several Saracen soldiers put their flag upon one of the towers; Balian is seen taking a weapon from a nearby archer, if you look closely that weapon is a war hammer. In the next shot, Balian is seen slashing a Saracen with an arrow.
Continuity: At the beginning of the film, when the party is ambushed, a rider charges towards Godfrey. He is wearing a conical helmet, but in the next shot, after Godfrey has dispatched him, his helmet is flat.
Incorrectly regarded as goofs: In the directors cut version, Balian is in Jerusalem, praying where Christ was crucified – you see him burying his dead wife’s gold necklace (cross). Later in the movie, you see him pulling out the ring that Sibylla gave him and kissing it – not the cross of his late wife.
Factual errors: Throughout the battle scenes, the crescent moon and star are used as symbols of Islam. However, these were not adopted until the mid 15th century and the conquest of Constantinople by the Ottoman Turks. Most of the Arab armies would have carried black, green or white flags.
Anachronisms: During the sea voyage and at other times, Balian is costumed in a top cinched with a row of buttons, almost a century before functional buttons appeared in his part of the world. Nonfunctional decorative buttons go back far in history, but functional buttons first appeared in the 1200’s in Germany, spreading to other parts of Europe in the later 1200’s through mid-1300’s. Using tie strings or some manner cinching laces (or better, just a loose pullover top) would have been more period-appropriate.
Errors in geography: In the movie Jerusalem is shown to be in a flat, sandy desert. Jerusalem is actually set on top of a mountain (Mount Zion) with massive valleys filled with trees, and other greenery surrounding the city walls.
Crew or equipment visible: In front of Reynald’s castle, when Saladin’s army comes, a yellow plastic pole that marks a stopping point for the foot soldiers is clearly visible. (This has been corrected for the Director’s Cut DVD.)
Factual errors: The effects of trebuchets have been extremely overdone. They neither reach as far as the film implies (certainly not with that kind of angle) nor does the impact of the ammunition cause the ground to tremble as if it were modern artillery. A hurled stone on a massive city wall may cause a dent and merely a thump upon impact.
Factual errors: During the 12th century the Knights Templar used the Maltese cross on their habit. It wasn’t until a century or so later they were forced to change to the Roman cross. Unfortunately, this is a mistake that Hollywood has always made.
Anachronisms: Two times, at the beginning and at the end of the movie, there is mention of Italian language spoken in Italy. There was no Italy nor standard Italian language at that time.
Factual errors: During the siege of Jerusalem, the Muslims fire flaming arrows at the city. No siege force would have used flaming arrows against a solid non-wood structure as they would have been completely useless.
Continuity: In the beginning of the movie when Balian is pounding on his piece he is shown clearly quenching the end of the piece after pounding on it, clearly showing only the middle of the piece is still hot enough to work, however the next shot shows him once again working on the end which is hot once more while the middle is not.
Continuity: When Balien catches up with his father on their way to Jerulsalem and they are attacked by Godfrey’s brothers forces. Odo, one of Godfrey’s men is struck by an arrow through the neck, but still keeps fighting. Soon after he is struck by a second arrow in the chest and falls to his knees. As the camera angle reverses, he suddenly has two arrows in the chest instead of one.
Continuity: In the Kerak battle sequence, the lighting changes back and forth drastically between cuts, from harsh midday light, to soft morning or sunset lighting.
Continuity: Balian’s arm was slashed by a sword perpendicular to his arm, however, the injury shown later has the gash going length-wise down his wrist.
Continuity: Balian’s hair keeps changing between shots when he and Tiberias talk on the battlefield.
Continuity: Balian slaps a boy, making him a knight with a nosebleed, but in the next shot, the blood is gone.

Errors in geography: The subway trains seen underground are Montreal Metro trains, not New York subway trains.
Revealing mistakes: The patches worn by the New York City police officers that go to the Donatelli home are not actual New York City police patches.
Audio/visual unsynchronized: At one hour into the movie, Jigsaw is sitting on stairs firing a gun. When the gun is out of bullets, you hear him yell “fuck!” but if you look at his mouth, he is saying “shit!”
Factual errors: While killing Pittsy, Punisher is clearly holding a dummy, not a real girl.
Incorrectly regarded as goofs: This movie is a reboot and not a sequel to The Punisher (2004), so any differences between the two movies are not necessarily continuity errors.
Factual errors: Glock pistols are heard being cocked. Glocks do not have external hammers so they cannot be thumb-cocked.
