    “Bad Boys II” Goofs List

    • Continuity: During the Yellow Hummer chase scene, the driver side mirror is knocked off and reappears several times.
    • Crew or equipment visible: When the blue car that is hooked onto the trailer is thrown off the back during the three-car chase on the highway, a stunt driver is clearly seen in the driver seat.
    • Continuity: During the car chase scene, when Mike and Marcus do a 360 in their car, you can clearly see it is a Caucasian stunt driver with dark sunglasses doing the actual 360 spin. Once that is done and the car is accelerating forward, it is Mike back in the driver’s seat.
    • Crew or equipment visible: During the causeway chase scene, when the police cruiser overturns, a camera can be seen flying out of the driver’s side window.
    • Continuity: In the KKK shootout at the beginning of the movie, as soon as Marcus is taken hostage, the hostage-taker cocks the hammer of his revolver while putting the muzzle to Lawrence’s head. In the next shot of the revolver, the hammer is not cocked anymore.
    • Continuity: During the Ferarri/car carrier chase, the right front headlight that is shot out reappears and disappears several times.
    • Continuity: The first time the bright orange 60s Nova driven by the Hatian gangsters is shown, it has damage to the right front quarter panel. In subsequent shots, the damage disappears and reappears.
    • Continuity: When Syd’s driver in the Black Yukon is shot, blood spatters on her white blazer. The blood stains disappear in later scene(s).
    • Continuity: Much is made of the above ground swimming pool in Marcus’ back yard. However, when Mike arrives at the house just before the “date interrogation” scene, an in ground pool is clearly visible out a rear door.
    • Continuity: When the Captain is explaining to Mike and Marcus about what TNT meant, the line that he scribbles under TNT disappears and reappears between shots.
    • Continuity: Hummer’s windshield switches from cracked to not-cracked and back when it is driving down the hill through the Cuban village.
    • Revealing mistakes: The money in the coffin in the funeral home is marked “For Motion Picture Use Only”.
    • Continuity: The Haitian orange and black Chevy Nova has a damaged right front corner when first seen; moments later, as the car heads into the parking structure, the corner is undamaged.
    • Continuity: In the first shoot-out, a KKK member cocks his shotgun twice.
    • Continuity: As the boat is moving through the harbor at a pretty fast speed is creating a large wake. When the Coast Guard stops the boat, no wake is visible.
    • Continuity: In the Macarthur Causeway chase sequence, the characters drive over the same bridge repeatedly. As a result, you can see them passing the Miami Herald building at least four times.
    • Revealing mistakes: After the shootout in the Haitian hideout, one of the “dead” Haitians can be seen breathing in a close up.
    • Continuity: After the shootout in the Rastafarian house, when Mike and Marcus are interrogating the only one left alive, the dead man in the yellow shirt is seen clearly still breathing.
    • Continuity: Syd is driving the black SUV down the ramp. People behind her are firing at the right side of it. The SUV shows holes in the left side.
    • Errors in geography: In the beginning, when the coffins are being sent into the water, the screen title says the Gulf of Mexico. However, the drugs are being delivered to Miami. The Gulf of Mexico is on the other side of Florida (the West Coast).
    • Continuity: During the shootout on the freeway, Mike shoots one of the Haitians and kills him. After a couple of minutes, Mike shoots the same Haitian again and kills him.
    • Crew or equipment visible: When Mike arrives at Marcus’ house, after driving up Marcus’ driveway in his car, and they are talking on the porch, a cameraman can be seen in Mike’s sunglasses.
    • Errors in geography: One of the early scenes is supposed to be “Amsterdam Harbour”. In reality Amsterdam Harbour is small and doesn’t handle large ships or have the wharves featured. Rotterdam harbour on the other hand handles more cargo than any other port in Europe.
    • Crew or equipment visible: When the police car flips over, you can see the compressed air gadget that the stuntmen used to flip the car over, on the underside of the car.
    • Errors in geography: In the harbor, someone is making a phone call from a “public” phone. The phone is clearly visible, but it isn’t a phone that’s used in the Netherlands. There are green public phones, but the design and logo are different. Also, there is a label on the phone booth which reads “Dutch Telecom”. This company does not exist at all. The correct text would be “KPN Telecom”.
    • Revealing mistakes: Cables visible on stunt players during the explosion during the gunfight with the KKK.
    • Crew or equipment visible: During the helicopter/boat chase a camera helicopter is visible in the top of the shot just before Mike tells the boat to stop.
    • Continuity: When Mike and Marcus are pursuing the van carrying the dead bodies, the train changes direction in relation to the vehicles between shots.
    • Continuity: When the yellow Hummer leaves the mansion it has a sun roof but later in the chase scene it does not have a sun roof but has an overhead consul.
    • Crew or equipment visible: In the ice van chase sequence, just after the ice van decapitates the dead body the camera dollies past another camera unit, also on dolly, and the 1st AC, camera operator, camera and dolly are visible.
    • Crew or equipment visible: When the Haitian gets into the semi’s cab before the causeway scene, director Michael Bay is seen operating a camera for a handheld shot in the background. Behind him is much of the crew.
    • Crew or equipment visible: After the freeway chase, when Marcus opens the passenger door of the Maranello 550 under the overpass, as the door swings open you can see a bunch of onlookers in the mirror.
    • Continuity: During the MacArthur Causeway chase sequence, the Ferrari gets shot on the left headlight (Lawry complains about it). Later we can see the Ferrari intact.
    • Continuity: When Floyd Poteet is put into the trunk of the commandeered car, his head is pointing toward the passenger side. During the chase we see him in the trunk, and his head is pointing toward the driver’s side. When he is let out, his head is pointing back toward the passenger side.
    • Continuity: When Marcus and Mike are the exterminators, Mike leaves his tool belt on the floor. But when he leaves the house he is wearing it.
    • Continuity: When the black SUV parks on the roof of the parking garage, the circular exit is on the passenger side then on the driver side and back again between shots.
    • Continuity: When Syd is backing up the SUV, she is at least a vehicle-width from the other car on the passenger side. A split second later she is close enough to knock off the guy hanging on.
    • Continuity: The SUV backs up and knocks off the guy on the passenger side. Then Syd drives forward and we do not see the guy on the ground that just got knocked off.
    • Continuity: When Syd is driving down the exit ramp she drives down about two levels before she kicks the door open and knocks the guy holding on off with the door. His arm is stuck in the window because she rolled it up on him, but as he starts his fall he is holding on to the frame of the door with no damage to the door.
    • Continuity: When Syd leaves the parking garage, the orange Chevy Nova is the next car behind her, but the next car we see come out of the garage is yellow.
    • Crew or equipment visible: As Syd comes out of the parking garage you can see two cameramen and equipment.
    • Continuity: As the chase begins after leaving the parking garage the cars make a right turn. Following the SUV are a orange Chevy Nova, a purple Camero, and a blue Trans Am, but instead of the Trans Am we see a black Chevelle then the Ferrari. In the chase we see the Nova, Trans Am, Camero, Chevelle and a yellow Challenger that comes and goes between shots.
    • Continuity: When Syd is driving down the exit ramp you see her drive to the second level down with the nova close behind. She drives at least to the third level down as the person in the nova shots at her, but we see the nova back at the top level.
    • Continuity: The SUV has the rear window shot out as it is going down the parking garage ramp, the next shot it is back.
    • Continuity: Syd drives the SUV out of the parking garage and her brother Marcus says, “It’s Syd,”
