“A Mighty Heart” Goofs List
- Anachronisms: There are few billboards shown on the roads of Karachi, which were not imaginable in early 2002, i.e. Telenor Mobile Service (introduced in March 2005), Qarshi Jam-e-Shirin’s latest campaign etc.
- Errors in geography: Since a lot of the movie was shot in Pune and Mumbai, a lot of scenes actually show taxis and roads of Mumbai and Pune. Though most cars in focus have the numbers changed, yet Fiat taxi’s and trucks with Indian number plates are all over the place.
- Anachronisms: There is a travel prayer note hanging on the rear-view mirror of the taxi in which Danny goes to the Village Restaurant in January 2002. The note has a branding of “GMSA Glue”, which was not launched until mid of 2004.
- Anachronisms: There are a number of cars shown, which were not available in the early 2002, i.e. the Toyota Corrolla Altis (2004), Honda City (2006), Toyota Camry (2004) and Honda Civic (2004).
- Anachronisms: There are a number of computers and gadgets shown, which were not introduced in early 2002, i.e. HP LaseJet 1320 Printer at Asra’s place, HP Color Laserjet shown at the consulate, Acer Notebook used in investigation, and the Nokia 1100 cellphone used by Captain.
